The life and death of Jimmy O'Brien

Jimmy O'Brien (Eagle Point, Ballincur, Dolla, Nenagh) died on the 13th June 2022, peacefully in the care of Nenagh Hospital, surrounded by his family. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Sarah, son Diarmuid, daughter Edel, grandchildren Cian and Conor, daughter in law Áine, relatives and many friends. Jimmy was a longtime member of the Silvermines GAA, captaining the 1974 hurling team to win the Tipperary North Final. He was also winner of many handball awards at both 60x30 and 40x20. He was awarded a Testmonial by the GAA in 2009 in recognition of his servce to the Association. He will be tremendously missed by us all.
