Cyber-security in Manufacturing

This guest lecture, as part of the Digitalisation Leadership Bootcamp, considers Cyber-security in Manufacturing. It explores Operational Technology (OT), the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), the CIS Cybersecurity Controls (CSC), NIST Special Publication 800-82 Guide to Operational Technology Security, as well as the ISA/IEC 62443 Securing Industrial Systems set of standards. The lecture concludes with a view to the changes brought on with the EU Network and Information Security Directive (NIS-2) that came into effect on 17 October 2024 as well as the launch by the National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC) of their draft Risk Management Methods (RMM) Guidance and announcement regarding Belgian CyberFundamentals Framework (CyFun) as a tool for organisations to demonstrate compliance via a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB).
